Swim Course Description - 1000 m (view map)
Bring your wetsuits! The Nueces River is spring fed at a few million gallons a day and the perfect temp for our August date. The swim course is made up of a few sections: First there is an out and back section (easy) and then a few surprises hit you…like a dam, for instance. Be ready for adventure on the swim unlike any other race.
Bike Course Description - 10 Miles (view map)
The bike course at Camp Eagle is one of the most scenic, yet challenging courses in the country. The bike starts by plunging downhill before taking you along the shores of the beautiful, spring-fed river. Enjoy the downhill and flat river stretch because there's some climbing ahead! The trails go up through the hill country setting ultimiately arriving at several 30-mile vistas. After screaming through the dry creek-bed the trail drops back down towards the river and your awaiting run.
Run Course Description – 4 miles (view map)
Running here is not so hard for some reason. There is not a lot of time to think about the pain as you try to navigate all the obstacles (rocks), inclines (big hills), and water (that river again). You're gonna have wet shoes when you’re done. If you don’t, you cheated.
Race will be held rain or shine. No refunds.
